The body of a young man who had gone to attend his friend’s birthday party in Darbhanga, Bihar, was found thrown on the roadside of Abdullahpur near Raghepura Chowk of Bahadurpur police station area. The killers have burnt the young man’s face with acid to hide his identity. The deceased has been identified as Bablu Kumar (24), resident of Dhoighat Mishroliya of Sadar police station area. He currently lived with his family in Indira Colony.
According to the information, Bablu Kumar had gone to Chatti Chowk of Laheriasarai police station area two days ago to attend the birthday party of his friend Sumit Ranjan. But when he did not return till late at night, when the family started searching, Bablu said that he would return home in the morning. But when Bablu’s mobile was switched off in the morning, the family’s apprehension increased. When the deceased’s father Jaiprakash Gupta and his wife reached Sumit’s house and tried to get information, Sumit’s mother and sister told that they had no information about where he had gone with his other friends.
The family members of deceased Bablu told that in the meantime a call from some unknown person was received from his son’s mobile on the home number. He told that along with Babul, Sumit Ranjan, Abhishek Saurabh of Bengali Tola, Shivam Raut of Saidnagar, Ankit Kumar of Barheta and a Gopu were with him. The family members alleged that in such a situation, there is full confidence that Sumit Ranjan, along with his friends, mother and sister, has murdered my son Bablu and disposed of his body.
After this, the family members of the deceased had lodged an FIR against Sumit Ranjan along with his mother and sister at Laheriasarai police station on Friday itself, fearing murder. After that, the police took immediate action and detained Sumit’s mother and sister and started interrogating them.
